Note: This installation is part of an ongoing environmentally focused sculpture project "Paths of Consumption" which recreates at exaggerated scale, found patterns eaten out of trees and garden plants by a variety of insect larvae. The patterns are formed by many thousands upon thousands of small bites over time…

Note: This installation is an enlarged reproduc-tion of a found story handwritten in pencil on 8.5" x 11" paper by an anonymous young person who lives in the south side of St. Petersburg, FL.

Branches from one Eucalyptus tree retrieved from my roof following hurricane Irma in 2017, water based spray, acrylic, oil, wire. 2017 & 2019.
Torpedo grass rhizome roots I dug up and removed from the ground, re-purposed heavy gauge picture hanging wire that I un-wove and threaded through the roots, floral wire, water-based spray, acrylic. 2018
Note: Theses materials have been formed into a 1:1 scale reproduction of the cracks that formed over time within the figures of Adam and Eve on the 6th ceiling panel of the Sistine Chapel which depicts the “Temptation” and “Expulsion” narrative from the book of Genesis.
Salvaged 2x4 lumber (originally used in an ephemeral art installation in 2003) partially consumed by a termite colony, water and solvent based spray, acrylic, gallery wall white paint. 2019, (5 pieces) Dimensions variable

Leaf miner larvae paths collected from multiple leaves on one plant, found historic maps (1957) of the Smokey Mountain region, writing ink, hand-cut re-purposed Aluplast. dimensions variable, 2019.
